Where it all started

In 2016, Dr. Elysabeth Nguyen traveled alone to the Our Lady of La Vang Shrine in Vietnam, seeking a deeper connection to her faith. At the time, she was also involved in the effort to build a La Vang shrine at Christ Cathedral in California. As she became more engaged in the project, she realized that her professional skills—honed through years in biotech, business, and leadership—could be used for something greater.

The experience transformed her. She went from attending church a few times a year to going every day, sometimes twice a day. Her faith deepened, and so did her desire to give back. She became a driving force behind the shrine’s construction, managing fundraising, planning, and outreach. When the shrine was finally completed in 2021, she looked around in awe, realizing how a small idea, when nurtured, could grow into something far bigger than imagined.

But her mission didn’t stop there. With a passion for helping others, she sought new ways to support charitable causes. This vision led to the creation of La Vang Wine Company—a non-profit dedicated to raising funds through wine sales, with proceeds supporting meaningful projects and organizations.

Today, Dr. Nguyen continues to build on her foundation, ensuring that every bottle of La Vang Wine serves a greater purpose, just as her journey of faith inspired her to do.

A Name Rooted in Giving

La Vang Wine Company takes its name from Our Lady of La Vang, a powerful symbol of faith, resilience, and hope. Just as the Virgin Mary is believed to have appeared to persecuted Vietnamese Catholics in the late 18th century, offering them comfort and strength, La Vang Wines was created with the same spirit of giving and support.

More than just a winery, La Vang Wine Company was founded to help charitable causes thrive. Every bottle sold directly funds Christian initiatives, community projects, and those in need. Our wines are carefully produced and bottled in California’s world-renowned vineyards, selected by expert sommeliers who share our mission of service.

Whether you choose from our carefully curated selection or opt for a sample case to support a meaningful cause, each bottle represents more than just fine craftsmanship—it’s a step toward making a difference.
